Adjectives modify the sentence by describing one quality of a noun or pronoun. So do the superlative Adjectives. They describe the highest or lowest quality and give a comparison.

What Is a Superlative Adjective?

Superlative adjectives represent the highest degree. These end with -est or start with most or least.

Superlative adjectives Definition:

Superlative adjectives refer to the quality of objects, at the upper or lower limit. For Example, highest, tallest, smallest,  fastest, etc. They provide a comparison among the sentences. The sentence structure for using superlative adjective is:

Noun (subject) + verb + the + superlative adjective + noun (object).

Superlative Adjectives Rules for Formation:

One syllable adjectives

Add  “est” tat the end.

If the structure of a word is “consonant + single vowel + consonant,” double the last and add “est.”
